The 5th-6th grade class helps our young people dig a little deeper into God's word. Bible lessons are presented with increasing emphasis on personal application. A great deal of effort is made to make sure the children know and remember the Biblical stories and how they are relevant in our lives.
Through creative activities that encourage participation from all students, the stories and lessons are imprinted on the minds of the children. Emphasis is also put on developing the relationships between the students so they can learn to support one another as they begin the face increasing temptations that come with growing up.
This class is currently studying a combination of a series named "Our Spiritual Heritage" by Phil Robertson and "The Living Way". It is a detailed two study of the New Testament, with one quarter of a brief overview of the whole Bible.
Currently we are studying the Book of 1 Corinthians.
